Sewing Projects

This past week Ruby completed her first major sewing project almost entirely on her own!

The finished product!

It was her first real dealings with different trims (didn't she do a lovely job?!).

This pattern was a mix of a New Look blouse and a Simplicity dress :).

Dear Emma and Olivia,
Yes...I was extremely well-pleased with the dress. I have not had many happy experiences with making dresses. They don't fit a lot of times, so I was very happy when this one fit perfectly. Ah yes! The hair...Chloe made that one up just before she fell asleep one night. Although she made it up, I think many of her ideas came from Molly Valenti, while we were in Jamestown. Thank you for your comments, and compliments. I'm glad that you like the hair and the dress! :)

Love,
Ruby

Hello Mrs. Wilike-

I am very happy with the dress, and am trying to wear it as many times as possible before the summer is over. Thank you so much for your comment!

Dear Allison,

I'm so glad that you are enjoying it! I wasn't sure whether you had gone to it yet, but I am very glad that you did so :). All thanks to Chloe for the hair and the dress—I could never have done it without her help.

Thank you for your comment, and how's your family doin'? Haven't heard from you in a while....

Love,
Ruby
