Birthday Season....

As Spring approached this year, we rushed into what we call the birthday season. In our family, all the birthdays are grouped together over the Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Chloe starts it off on April 27th, and Olivia wraps it up on October 3rd. The only month we do not have birthdays in over this period is May... That is our short break. ;) So far we've passed two birthdays: Chloe turned 19 on said date, and Gabriel turned 14 on June 2nd. :)

Except, this picture is terribly outdated since Chloe has had a few changes....

Yes, Chloe has short hair now... And she looks quite lovely too. :D

The parents of these two wonderful children - we are eternally thankful for the hard work and strenuous labor that was put in to training us up as warriors for Christ. We are thankful that God moved them to decide to homeschool us, and for the patience, love, and endurance that came with it. Thank you mom and dad, and we love you!

The birthday boy! :)

His favorite birthday cake: Frozen Alaska. It was made with black raspberry chip ice cream with coffee ice cream, rich chocolate cake, and covered with whipped cream, topped with a chocolate cookie, and 60% dark chocolate shavings. Now that is quite a cake! (Compliments go to Chloe :D.)

As each child turns another year, more responsibilities and more tasks are given to them. The expectations grow higher. With each year comes another dose of wisdom and maturity. The only reason that this can be said, for our family at least, is because our parents have trained us up according to the Scriptures, and we have been taught to seek wisdom, because it is more precious than jewels. And surely, if one truly desires wisdom in their heart, and if they fervently seek after it, they shall attain it. We pray that this will be so for each sibling in this family.

Happy Birthday y'all! :D

Maureen Carey says: As we grow another year older, we shed our old ways of thinking and adopt new ones.

We learn to readjust our ways of thinking and we look to more mature ways of thinking.

I'm sure that this will be so for each of you.

With each year, does come new responsibilities and new blessings as well, you know. When we show ourselves faithful with the small things, God will indeed trust us with larger things as well because we have proven ourselves loyal and faithful and showed God that we can handle ourselves with little.

Birthdays are a time to mark where we've been to look backward and forward at the same time, saying a loving goodbye to the old and excitedly looking forward to the new.

The blessings come when we learn to grow, to change, to evolve, to become brighter, smarter, more beautiful versions of our former selves.

Each child will see their life as wonderfully and awesomely blessed. Each child will learn to speak the truth, embrace the truth, to know the truth so that they may minister effectively in Christ to the lost. Each child will rejoice in the life that God has planned for them.

Neighbor in Christ,
